The Saint-Acheul Archaeological Gardens

The cradle of the city and located in the heart of the Saint-Acheul district, this site provides the whole family with the opportunity to play at being archaeologists. This 19th century brick quarry enabled the discovery of carved flint tools from the eponymously named Acheuleen period and shed light on how the Somme valley was created.

The Picardy museum

The Picardy museum will not fail to interest children, who may even turn into young artists when they leave the museum. More than just a museum, it is a real centre for fine arts that is home to superb collections dating from prehistoric times to the modern day. The part they are sure to prefer is located in the basement and dedicated to antiquities: papyrus, coffers, jewellery, pottery and especially the sarcophagus of Neskafaa, our mummy.
