How to get to Amiens
At the crossroads of north western Europe and its big cities, our city has long been a major centre of cultural and economic exchange. So there are lots of different ways to come and visit us, because nearly all roads lead to Amiens!
Amiens, one and a quarter hours from Paris on the motorway, is at the crossing point of:
- The A16, connecting Amiens to Île de France and the ports of the north sea, opens the capital of Picardie to Great Britain via the Eurotunnel which opened in 1998.
- The A29, which now links the city to Normandie (Rouen and Le Havre) and eastern France (Reims).
- The A1, which, via the A29, forms an efficient link to the eastern part of Île de France.

Where can I park in Amiens?
· By car:
· In a motor home:
There aren’t any special motor home parking spaces in Amiens, meaning you can park anywhere that’s accessible to the public (apart from parking spaces for buses).
That said, here are some suggestions for locations that are better-adapted for long vehicles:
- Port d'Amont (-6 metres maximum / paid parking, from 9 am to 7 pm)
- Boulevard Beauvillé (-6 metres maximum / paid parking, from 9 am to 7 pm)
- Boulevard Faidherbe/Garibaldi (free parking 24 hours a day)
>>> Reminder: ‘parking’ means parking your motor home on its four wheels, without the use of chocks or exterior objects.
Parking spaces and a service area are available at the entrance of the Parc des Cygnes campsite**** which is open from April to mid-October. The service area is accessible to all, even vehicles without a rented parking space. To find out more, contact the campsite reception.
Tokens are on sale at the campsite reception, for €4.
