Flixecourt used to have three mills, one for oil and two windmills for flour. In the early 19th century businessmen from Amiens acquired mills to set up the first textile factories. The 20th century saw the final days of mills in the Somme valley. Basile mill at Flixecourt gradually fell into ruin. In 2016-2017 the inhabitants of Flixecourt decided to restore their mill, as it was originally, with the help of architects. Since then, its architecture restored, the mill is as charming as it ever was.
