Prehistoric deposits at Saint-Acheul were discovered in the 19th century. In 1872 the district gave its name to one of the most ancient of human industries: Acheulean. Saint-Acheul archaeological garden was laid out to enhance one of our most ancient sites, while offering a pleasant place to walk in naturally fragrant surroundings.
