Île aux fruits (meaning ‘island of fruits’) is an urban farm promoting direct produce sales from 80 local producers (such as vegetables, fruit, cheeses, beers...). Market gardening, educational farming, permaculture, a music scene... You’re sure to fall under the charm of this wonderful initiative, driven by a collective of passionate locals.

• No specific provisions for people with reduced mobility / Not accessible by wheelchair.
• No designated parking spaces
• The path isn’t stable (beaten earth).
• Fast catering and weekly live entertainment

The Amiens Covered Market (the Halle au Frais) is home to 17 merchants defending the region’s gastronomical memory. There are cheese-makers, bakers, pastry makers, charcutiers, butchers, fishmongers, delicatessens, cellar masters...
Open from Tuesday to Saturday from 9 am to 7 pm, and on Sunday from 9 am to 12:30 pm.

• Walk-in entry via Place Maurice Vast or Rue du Général Leclerc.
• Accessible lift.
• Toilets for people with reduced mobility located on the second floor of the shopping centre.
• Parking for people with reduced mobility in the underground ‘Les Halles’ carpark.

Every Saturday morning along the Somme, get your fill of local fresh produce and flowers straight from the hortillonnages!

> Once a year, as part of June’s “La rue est à Amiens” festival, the market on the water takes place as before. ‘Hortillons’ (market gardeners for the hortillonnages) in traditional costume come down the Somme in their pointed boats loaded with vegetables, fruit and flowers to Place Parmentier.
