About
With humor and poetry, this swimmer?s log subtly weaves the intimate story of a woman at a pivotal time in her life. Written and performed by Anne Brochet.
In a fabulous journey that takes her through a kind of intimate big bang, Anne Brochet delivers a dreamlike, choreographed one-woman show that is both light-hearted and funny. In short, she evokes the present difficulties of being a single, unemployed woman with grown-up children.
An enchanting atmosphere and magnetic projections reveal her refreshingly cheerful inner world. At the poolside, she also shares her fleeting impressions of the beautiful, banal bodies that surround her.
"Acting in the theater is like crossing a pool, flirting with endurance and the tipping point, with the emotion of perfect rhythm right up to the nautical somersault. The one you watch for when you crawl, the one you measure and apprehend, the one that's exciting, that's never perfect, that you'll do again at the next length, just as you'll do better at the next performance," she says.
A sensitive, poetic show combining theater, dance, music and video. Dive in headfirst!
