Famous characters: A game in the footsteps of Jules Verne

Before following the footsteps of the famous writer, start your day with the city’s most important building...

Morning

Guided visit of Amiens cathedral, a masterpiece of Gothic art and a UNESCO world heritage monument. It owes its unity to its rapid construction. One guide for a maximum of 30 children. Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes

Lunch time

Picnic in the Bishop’s Garden (behind the cathedral) or in Saint-Pierre park (between the hortillonnages and the Saint-Leu district).

Afternoon

Meet at the House of Jules Verne.
Guided tour of the House of Jules Verne (duration: 1 hour)
Game in groups of 5 to 6 children with clues on the places that Jules Verne used to visit (Circus, Town Hall, Library, Musée de Picardie, former Caisse d'Epargne building, Lycée Michelis, etc.).
30 people maximum.The teachers are responsible for the smooth organisation of the treasure hunt.
The class will be handed 5 exercise books with details of the treasure hunt on the day of the visit. Duration: 1 hr 30 min
