In the Middle Ages, the sculpture work on the doorways of Notre-Dame d’Amiens Cathedral was painted in brilliant colours. The show recaptures the lofty sensations this must have inspired…

  • 3.00pm – Your guide-lecturer welcomes you at the Amiens Métropole Tourist Office
  • 3.15pm – Guided tour of the west-facade entrances of Notre-Dame d’Amiens Cathedral. One guide-lecturer per 30 people maximum (1 ½ hours)
  • 5.00pm – Commentated barouche ride to explore the city centre and the Saint-Leu district. 22-seat covered carriage; duration: 30 minutes, by rotation
  • 7.00pm – Dinner in a restaurant at the foot of the cathedral
  • At 10.45pm in June, at 10.30pm in July, at 10.00pm in August, at 9.45pm in September and at 7.00pm in December “Amiens, the cathedral in colour”: light projections recreating the medieval colours of the doorways to magnificent effect. Outside, in front of the cathedral. Duration: 38 minutes
