From Notre-Dame Cathedral of Amiens, part of UNESCO World Heritage, to the Somme Bay, recognised as one of the most beautiful bays in the world, the Somme unveils its treasures for you.

1st day: Amiens

  • 10.15am - Your guide welcomes you at the Amiens Métropole Tourist Office.
  • 10.30am – Guided tour of Amiens cathedral. One guide for a maximum of 30 people. Duration: 1½ hours
  • 12.15pm – Lunch in a local restaurant.
  • 2.45pm – Boat trip on the Saint-Leu canals. One boat for a maximum of 10 people. Duration: 35 minutes
  • 3.30pm – Walk through the town to discover its history. One guide for a maximum of 30 people. Duration: 2 hours
    or
    Tour of the town on your own coach (equipped with a microphone and a seat for the guide). One guide per coach. Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes
  • 5.30pm – End of your day in Amiens. Dinner and overnight stay in a 2-star hotel in Amiens or Abbeville depending on availability.

 

2nd day: the Baie de Somme

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • 10.15am – Meet at the Saint-Valery-sur-Somme train station.
  • 10.30am – Ride on the Baie de Somme railway to Crotoy. On a steam train, travel in a wagon from the “Belle Époque” and admire the landscapes offered by the Baie de Somme, one of the most beautiful protected bays in the world.
  • 12.30pm - Lunch in a restaurant in Saint-Firmin-les-Crotoy.
  • 3pm – Guided walk around the Parc du Marquenterre bird park, in the Baie de Somme nature reserve. Observe the world of birds in a protected area of dunes, forest and marshes.
  • 5pm – End of break.

Our price includes:
Guided visits and entry fees, the 3 meals with drinks, bed and breakfast in a double room in a 2-star hotel, guide on 1st day.
Our price does not include:
Group transport, insurance, guide on 2nd day, single room supplement and accommodation tax.
Free for: driver and group leader in twin room.

This programme is available every day from 1st April to 31st October, subject to navigating conditions and religious services at the cathedral.
