Corbie

The Saint-Pierre abbey

Guided tour of the Saint-Pierre abbey :

The Tourist Office proposes guided or non-guided tours of the abbey. This striking building is one of the last witnesses of the powerful Benedictine abbey of Corbie, which was known all over Europe.
The abbey hides a number of treasures, including a map of the Abbey, a full model of the church, a number of relics, tombstones, and works of art on Saint Colette (patron saint of the city).

The citadel

Built in 1535 under the reign of François 1, the citadel marks the transition between middle-age forts and Vauban citadels one century later.
Its sandstone architecture is unique in France, along with its ace of spade bastions and its network of galleries. The Doullens Citadel is witness to 500 years of military history.
