The 18th Rendez-Vous de la Bande Dessinée will be taking place in Amiens on 1st and 2nd June 2013. On the programme: activities, exhibitions, encounters and book-signings... If you’re a comic-book buff, don’t miss out!
Since its creation in 1995, the On a marché sur la bulle association has been ensuring that the Amiens Comics Festival is an event on no account to be missed.
For the 18th edition of the festival, 87 authors – including Agnès Maupre, David vandermeule, Alex-imé, P'tiluc, Alexandre Clerisse, Jérémie Moreau, Cécile, Daniel Goossens, Nicolas Hitori De, Denis Lachaussée, Kokor, Aude Soleilhac, Kris, Nicolas Poupon – will be on the scene to meet visitors, sign copies of their works and discuss the art of the comic book.
The programme for these two days includes one hour with an author (Anlor, Jean-Marie Omont, Frédéric Maupomé, Stéphane Sénégas, Marc Lizano and a few others), a guided tour of the exhibitions and an unaccompanied visit of the other exhibitions in the city. Over both days the Amiens Regional Centre for Educational Documentation (CRDP) will have a stand where visitors can see its comic strip productions.
For a true reading experience for all visitors, reading-out-loud sessions will be held during the exhibitions, and the Hugo et Cagoule comic strip by Dauvillier and Lizano (published by de la Gouttière) will be brought to life through a story mat specially made for the occasion. Experience at the show.
Launch of the great comic strip competition open to Picard residents of all ages, on the theme: "The Arabian night...". This competition has given countless young authors the chance to train. Several competition winners have subsequently turned professional (including David François, Sébastien Vastra, Damien Cuvillier, Renaud Collard... to mention just a few).
Exhibition of the six finalists' work in each of the four categories on the first floor of the University Library.
The various prizes will be awarded on Sunday 1 June at 4 p.m., by the Association Chairman and Jury.
