Amiens Cathedral rendered sublime by the colours of Chroma

From 24th November to 31st December, the façade of the Cathédrale Notre-Dame d’Amiens will sparkle with the colours of the light show, Chroma. Don’t miss this extraordinary event guaranteed to light up your winter evenings !

Following the great success of Chroma in 2017, with more than 312,000 spectators, the light show will once again adorn the Cathedral every evening after dark, from 24th November to 31st December.

This year, we are celebrating 20 years since the Cathedral was inscribed for a second time on the UNESCO World Heritage List, owing to its connection with the pilgrimage routes of the Camino de Santiago (also known as the Way of Saint James). The 2018 edition of Chroma therefore includes a previously unseen sequence inspired by these pilgrimage routes.

The second part of the show is dedicated to polychrome works from the Middle Ages. To examine the colourful doorways in greater detail, don’t hesitate to get closer to the façade of the Cathedral.

See the light of the Chroma lantern passing by ? Go towards it and follow the guide! You will find a guide ready to answer all your questions every evening near the doorways.

To further extend your discovery experience during the show, download the Chroma app. The app lets you decipher the doorways and their colour symbolism and reveals secrets about the ‘Great Lady’.

The Tourism Office had rolled out a large collection of products around Chroma. You will find in our boutique (23, place Notre-Dame) tote bags, mugs, thermos, notebooks, pens, post cards and stamps, magnets... And especially seats to go, to enjoy the show with comfort !
