River tourism

Welcome to La Batellerie!

Amiens is an essential destination at the heart of the valley and the department. The regional capital is proud of the river and its banks.
A stone’s throw from the cathedral and restaurants of the Saint-Leu quarter, between the Hortillonnages and the town centre, take advantage of the ideal surroundings of our marina at Port d’Amont, aboard your own boat !

Information and practical advice

Navigation and mooring:

Amiens marina is located at Port d’Amont, less than an hour from the Lamotte lock (no. 16) by boat and a few minutes from Amiens lock (no. 17). You’ll find a floating pontoon equipped with 3 posts, with 6 water and electricity connection points (2 euros for 4 hours of power) as well as a wastewater pumping station (free).

On busy days, mooring two abreast is encouraged, and 4 additional rings are available on the right bank opposite Port d’Amont (WARNING: shallow water immediately upstream of these rings). You can also moor your boat comfortably on the quay, immediately upstream of the pontoon, as well as at the harbour downstream, just after passing the Amiens lock (no. 17). A few cable lengths from the SNCF train station, our marina is an ideal place to start or end your cruises, change captain, head to Paris or the airports of Roissy CDG and Paris-Beauvais, or visit the other sites in the Somme Valley and its Vélo-Route (cycle route).

Do you have bikes on your boat? Why not take them for a ride around the town! We have two cycling trails: Amiens by the water or Parks and gardens.

If you haven’t been able to bring your own bikes, you can hire some from the Vélo Service association or a local Vélam station.
