The drivers’ house :

The Amiens Métropole Tourist Office has made a coach drivers’ area available in the free “long-stay” Port d’Aval car park, ten minutes on foot from the Cathedral.

An agent is on site to welcome drivers and provide them with tourist and practical information.

This relaxation area has tables, a microwave oven, a hot drinks’ machine and toilets. The rest room has armchairs and coffee tables, a TV and DVD, magazines and tourist documents.

Coach drivers can use this area and its services while their group visits the town. They can set down their passengers at the set-down point in rue Flatters, 100 metres from the cathedral, and then go to the long-stay Port d’Aval car part (12 spaces). Drivers can also get to the city centre on foot (10 minutes) or rent a Vélam bike from the nearest station (Vogel, 100m).

Well signposted, the aim of this system is to facilitate the movement of tourist coaches in the city centre and improve drivers' comfort.
